ATTENTION – From 06/09 to 10/10/2024: Forestry work at Puy de Montcineyre, in the Bois de Chauméane. Take the detour via Escoufort Bas, along the D36 and into the Bois d’Olpilière. ATTENTION – This itinerary is inaccessible to hikers when the Massif du Sancy winter sports resorts are open. Thank you for your understanding.

– The best times are: June for flowering at altitude, and mid-September/mid-November for autumn hues and bright, sunny days.

Dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs are often present in summer pastures. However, they are strictly forbidden in the Chaudefour Valley Nature Reserve.
